The General is a classic remake of
the board game favorite Stratego. Now
you can play computer opponents of
different skills, start with different
opening formations, and play many more
options than the board game ever had!
The idea behind The General is
simple. You start with the same amount
and rank of soldiers as your opponent
and must capture his flag. The lower the
rank (1 is the best) the better the
soldier. Move forward and capture pieces
that are the same or higher rank than
you. You must watch out for bombs since
only the 8 (Miner) can capture those.
Use special pieces like Scouts (9) to
attack from many spaces away or Spies
(S) to capture The General (1)!
The General is a great game of
strategy. You must decide how you want
to attack and with what pieces. A good
balance between offense and defense is
essential for winning.
This PC version of Stratego features
the ability to play others over a
network connection. The game is also
available for pocket PCs and other
handhelds.
